Astonishing 49mm gold-steel watch with high quality movement by Alpina Glashutte, serial number 170337. Wristwatch, circa 1910. In 1912, the first Alpina Chronometer Glashütte was finalized and this model competed directly against the watch making artistry of the likes of A.Lange&Sohne who event went so far as to take Alpina to court but unsuccessfully. The case is stainless gold plated-steel, new-custom made, hand-crafted. Dial is original porcelain two colour with arabic hours numerals. Signed Alpina. Original gold hands. Movement is original Alpina manual winding, stripe decorated. It has got gold screw compensation balance, serial number 170337, dating the watch circa 1910 as per company production record.
